NORTHERN ohio EVENT COORDINATOR:
The OCC is currently seeking a Northern Event Corrdinator to join our team. We are looking for a motivated and organized person to help us with the responsibilities listed below.
This person will:
Report directly to the Northern Ohio Stewardship Director and Development Director.
Main duties are to coordinate and attend (as your schedule allows) Tabling Events throughout Northern Ohio, recruiting volunteers as needed to complete this task.
The purpose of Tabling Events is to increase OCC membership, discuss Ohio climbing issues with climbers (focusing on the OCC vision and purpose), continue a positive connection with the climbing gym, university, business and landowner, obtain donations, and sell merchandise. A climbing survey will also be made available to climbers at events in case they want to volunteer for the OCC.
Tabling Events include climbing gyms and universities, Adopt-a-Crags, workdays, climbing films, and businesses such as gear shops and breweries.
When appropriate, contact the Developmental Director (for posting on the OCC website) and the Social Media Coordinator so they can advertise any upcoming Tabling Events.
Store, order and coordinate the tabling equipment such as table, displays, OCC table cloth, and merchandise.
Accept funds for membership fees, donations and merchandise. Enter Membership and Survey information into Bloomerang. Send membership forms and funds collected to the OCC Treasurer.
Expand the volunteer tabling base to include as many tabling opportunities as possible to eventually include tabling at all climbing gyms/universities and Adopt a Crags in Northern Ohio at least once a year.
Eventually help to expand Tabling by splitting the Northern Event Coordinator into two Positions; NE Ohio and NW Ohio Event Coordinators. This will depend on increasing membership and funding to support the expansion.
Add volunteer positions as needed to help with these duties.
If you have questions about this position or are interested in applying, please contact the OCC Board at: info@ohioclimberscoalition.org , and please include “Northern Ohio Event Coordinator” in the email subject line.
