Mad River Gorge Adopt-A-Crag

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting monthly Adopt-A-Crags at the Mad River Gorge! Each Adopt-A-Crag will be held on the last Saturday of the month. Projects will include building retaining walls, clearing honeysuckle (there’s always honeysuckle), cutting rocks, cleaning trash, and much more.

Our main focus for our first cleanup will be clearing honeysuckle near the South edge of the Taylor property in order to ready that area for a fence. Don’t worry if you can’t be there right as it starts, feel free to stop by anytime!  This is a great project for kids, too! We will likely have tools on hand, but if you’d like to bring your own please mark them so everyone goes home with all the tools they brought.

*Plan to meet at the information kiosk.  If you show up later in the day,  go to the information kiosk and turn left before walking down the stairs.  We will be somewhere along the top of the wall cutting.

You will need to sign a waiver for this event. We will have waivers for you to fill out day of or you can email Katie Johnstone to fill yours out ahead of time.
