SAVE THE DATE!!
The Ohio Climbers Coalition along with the Wood County Park District will be hosting a workday at Sawyer Quarry from 9am-12:30pm on Saturday September 17, 2023.. This is an outdoor, socially-distanced volunteer experience. Help promote climbing for the future.
We will meet in the field in front of the parking lot and/or near the trailhead around 9AM.
Projects: Help us improve accessibility and user-friendliness through projects like cliff-face cleaning, trail maintenance, and staging-area fortification to make Sawyer Quarry an even better climbing and rappelling destination. Please bring clothes for working outside in the rocks, along with water, snacks, and personal care items. Closed-toe shoes required.
Parking: There is a parking lot with ample parking across from the trailhead. Bathrooms are available.
Bring snacks, gloves and water. Pizza and tools will be provided by Craig Spicer and the Wood County Park District.. Feel free to bring you own tools if you prefer. Please wear closed-toe shoes. May stay and climb on your own after the event.
Tools we have: shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, loppers.
