CANCELLED! Adopt-a-Crag: High Glens Park

  • High Glens Park 1817 Front Street Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221 United States (map)

UPDATE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER. We will reschedule at a later date and time. Thanks to all who have showed their support!

Hello Northeast Ohio Climbers! You may or may not know that there is a new, and the only sport climbing area in Northeast Ohio, located at High Bridge Glens Park in Cuyahoga Falls. The City and Mayor, along with the Ohio Climbers Coalition(OCC) have been the driving force in developing this one-of-a-kind area along the Cuyahoga River. There are 8 established routes, ranging from 5.10 + to 5.11+ (or possibly harder), in which 7 are sport climbs and all can be top roped. This area offers some unique challenges and is not suitable for beginners or children.

As you know, developing any recreational area takes time, money, relationships with land managers and property owners, but most importantly, human resources. We are planning to have our first annual Adopt-A-Crag workday on Saturday November 12th and could use some helping hands!! This is not only a way of giving back to the city, but also an opportunity to get in on the ground level of a new climbing area, near Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls.

The OCC will have a table set up with information about the OCC and climbing in Ohio plus stickers, Tee shirt sales and membership sign-up will be available.
