Start where we left off in Anchor Building 1 by putting basic anchor building concepts into practice using natural trees and fixed hardware. The course will review knot tying and anchor principles previously taught followed by hands-on practice and critique in the cliff top environment that Whipp’s Ledges provides. If time and weather allow, we’ll build some anchors and finish with you climbing what you set up! The entire program will be spent outside; please dress appropriately for the weather. Dressing in non-cotton layers is encouraged. Please review the equipment list. Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early.

For climbers looking to take their skills outdoors, consider our spring program line-up designed to teach top rope anchor building principles and how to implement them. For more information or to register select on a link below.
