Join the Cleveland Metroparks for this year’s Whipp’s Ledges Climbing Weekend – camping, food, and educational clinics will fill the time as you enjoy all the climbing Hinckley Reservation has to offer. This program is great for new climbers, those transitioning from indoor gyms to outdoor climbing, or those looking to gain a greater understanding of anchor building as you join the NEO climbing community at Whipp’s Ledges.

Directions: Top O' Ledges Picnic Area is located off Top O' Ledges Drive in Hinckley Reservation, off Bellus Road, east of State Road in Hinckley, OH 44233
Terrain/Distance: Natural surface terrain, exposed cliff edges, and rocks
Ages: 16 years & over (Minors between the ages of 16-17 MUST have a registered and participating adult)
Fees: $10 per person (All guests MUST register)
Please bring a completed waiver.

Discover climbing for the first time or gain new skills as you learn about various topics in rock climbing. Friday night will be spent in the pavilion or by the fire with plenty of social time to connect with other climbers. Enjoy the atmosphere, campfire clinics, and the Q & A session as you learn from certified, experienced rock climbing instructors. Get your hands on the gear, learn, and get your rock climbing questions answered prior to relaxing for the evening at Top O’ Ledges as we share stories and enjoy the fire. Saturday will start with a simple breakfast followed by tours and clinics out on the rocks. The complete schedule is still in the works, but check out the tentative schedule below.
